Registered Address (Legal Address)

The registered address is the official address of the incorporated company as registered with the relevant authorities, like a corporate registry or a company house. This is the address used for formal correspondence and is the legal domicile of the company. It’s required for the company’s incorporation and is public information. Here are some aspects of a registered address:

  1. It is the address where the company receives official documents and legal notices.
  2. The registered address must be in the country where the company is incorporated.
  3. It can be, but is not necessarily, the same as the operational address.
  4. For some companies, particularly small startups or companies without a physical office, the registered address may be that of an accountant or attorney, or a corporate service provider offering “registered address services.”
